This has nothing really to do with Orthodoxy, but the connection between fossils, ancient landscapes, and the works of Tennyson is quite lovely. Though I have to say I feel that a great deal of the hymnography we have is definately pro the idea of deep time.

While it talks about post-break up self-dates, it isn’t a terribly bad idea to treat you while you’re single to some good times either.  I used to have a “Gentleman Wednesdays” thing going, where I’d go hang out with either myself or some of the guys, and we would do something awesome.

Satire, but the fact is that so many of us are willing to settle that it definately struck a chord with me.
